preheat oven to 350°F

line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper

Cream butter with sugars

add egg and vanilla, mix well

separately mix together flour, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, nutmeg and ginger. mix into butter/sugar mixture with a beater.

stir in nuts and fruit

drop spoonfuls onto the parchment paper

Bake 12 to 14 mins. Less time is better to stay soft.

cool on rack
