This is my twist on a pretzel dog but with a buttery tang. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce. :)

This is my twist on a pretzel dog but with a buttery tang. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce. :)
Cooking Instructions

Preheat oven to temperature LISTED on biscuit dough pack.

Open biscuit package and remove 5 biscuits or more depending on the amount your making.
- 3
Place one biscuit on a floured surface and roll out untill flat.
- 4
Cut biscuit into 3 even pieces.
- 5
Put biscuit pieces in a line and press them together.
- 6
Get a hotdog and place in 45° angle and roll hotdog leaving ends out repeat for all dogs.

Gently dip dogs in salt water and place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. (Opitional) prinkle black pepper on top of the dogs when still wet to give them a nicer look and flavor.

Bake untill golden brown.

Came across this recipe from my Muffins and Biscuits book. They say the recipe name comes from an old legend that says these biscuits are supposed to be big as a cats head. Well I took one of my biscuits and held it to my cats head. Legend is dead on. Tried to take a photo but my cat refused and threatened to call PETA on me so you'll just have to take my word on it. This is a recipe that my family has used since I was a little girl in Georgia. My Papa was stationed at the Marine Corps logistics base in Albany GA in the early 80's, and the church on base had made a cook book to sell at a fund raiser. My Mema (Mom), a beautiful woman and cook, bought the book. Unfortunately the book being made by volunteers long before computers ment that there were quite a few editing errors. My mother had to figure out the temperature and time for this recipe which has been added here. I can promise you that you will love these. Marines would beg my Father for a dinner invite if Mema was making her biscuits and I must say that of my friends that have had these I have received the same rock star status.
