Cut the meat into chunks, peel the potatoes and cut them into half, chop the onions, peel and crush the garlic cloves, then measure all the ingredients, wash your rice and put aside

Boil the meat under medium heat until soft and set it aside once its ready

Place a sufuria under medium heat then pour in the cooking oil. Once its heated add the chopped onions. Cook them until soft and they start browning. Add the crushed garlic and cook stirring until the onions turn to a beautiful golden brown colour.

Add in the pre- boiled meat and mix well so its coated with the onions. Immediately add in the potatoes and mix again

Cover and let it cook for about two minutes. Then add about four teaspoon of water mix and cover again. Let it cook until the mixture dries up

Now add in the salt and pilau masala and let it fry for 2 minutes then add in the cold water

Once the water boils add in the rice stir so that its evenly distributed

Cover this and let it cook on medium heat until the water level reduces and the other ingredients are clearly visible

Reduce the heat to medium low heat and continue cooking covered until the mixture is completely dry

Switch off the heat and leave the food undisturbed and covered for 15 min

Lastly, carefully mix and serve
