Steps
- 1
Slice cucumbers thin. Put in large bowl. (I don't use the very ends, they taste bitter to me.)
- 2
Cut onion in half. Take one slice from each half. Keep as rings.
- 3
Add onion rings and 1 tsp of salt to cucumbers. Fill with cold water until cucumbers are covered. Cover bowl and refridgerate for 2 hours.
- 4
Drain cucumbers and lightly rinse with cold water.
- 5
In seperate bowl mix together ingredients for the sauce.
- 6
Add the sauce to the cucumbers and mix well.
- 7
Refridgerate for at least another 2 hours to let the sauce mix in with the cucumbers. Serve in individual bowls.
- 8
Cover leftovers and refridgerate.
- 9
You can use any kind of Miracle Whip, I perfer the Lite. I have never made it with mayo. I think it would change the taste.
