Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupchili powder
  2. 1 tbspcrushed red pepper (up to 2 tbs for extra heat)
  3. 1 tbsponion powder
  4. 1 tbspgarlic powder
  5. 1 tbspground cumin
  6. 1 tbspsalt (more or less to personal taste)
  7. 2 tspgranulated sugar (optional)
  8. 1/2 tspblack pepper
  9. 1/2 tspcayenne pepper (more or less for desired heat, may omit if desired)

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix all ingredients together in a medium bowl until well combined. Store in an air tight container and use as needed.

  2. 2

    Start with 2 tbs seasoning per pound of meat. Adjusting to taste (I like about 3 when I make my Chilly Chili with one pound of meat).

  3. 3

    This makes enough seasoning for a few pots of chili, so don't use it all at once... unless you're making a huge pot I suppose. ;)

Great mix, easy and ingredients I always have on hand. We like things a bit spicy so I used 3 Tablespoons for a pound of burger. I like that I can have mix made up ahead of time too. Thank you for this yummy recipe
