Achiote oil or annato seed oil
Delicious flavored oil for any dish but used widely in Latin dishes
Steps
- 1
In small saucepan heat oil and seeds on low-medium heat.
- 2
Let simmer 15 minutes.
- 3
Remove seeds and pour oil into a small air tight container. I like glass.
- 4
Use oil to flavor chicken or pork dishes. A delicious latin flair!
- 5
Oil can last for two weeks, use before that, that's why I make small batches. Store in cool, dry place.
