A typical Spanish dessert adapted to the vegetarian diet, but the soy milk can be sustituted by the regular one however :)

A typical Spanish dessert adapted to the vegetarian diet, but the soy milk can be sustituted by the regular one however :)

Mix in a bowl 250 ml of cold soy milk with the cornstarch,sirup and egg yolks. Beat until get a fine cream.Put apart.

In a pot, boil the remaining milk with sugar, zest and canela stick.

Let it boil, pour the previoua mixture through a strainer and cook over low heat 5 minutes, stirring continuously.

Pour the mixture on a 5 cm high pan, previously greased with the margarine/ butter and let cool on the fridge for 30 minutes.

Then, cut the mix en small squares carefully, batter in the egg and then in flour.Fry the squares in hot oil until gold. Enjoy!!!
