A Good Way to Freeze Bell Peppers A Good Way to Freeze Bell Peppers
This is a lot of prep work , but worth it especially if you have an abundance of these given to you. This recipe helps to keep the pepper as crisp for future uses. This also stops them from freezing/sticking together. When you transfer them from the parchment paper to the bags do so quickly. They defrost quickly when small pieces. skunkmonkey101 -
How To Cut Lemon Wedges How To Cut Lemon Wedges
Everyone cuts lemons into 8 wedges lengthwise, but if you do it that way there's a high chance that the cut side of the wedges will be the sac wall...which means that when you squeeze the wedge, the juice goes flying everywhere. So I came up with this cutting method. I wanted to teach this method to my children, so I wrote it down here.Lemons cut into 8 lengthwise wedges are fine, but since it takes the same amount of effort anyway, I like to go with this method, which results in nice cut sides. The walls of the lemon sacs won't be on the cut sides of the wedges, so the wedges are easy to juice and look beautiful too. Recipe by kebeibiko cookpad.japan -
A Cute Way To Dry Red Chili Peppers A Cute Way To Dry Red Chili Peppers
I make ichimi togarashi (red chili pepper powder) every year at home. I used to dry the chili peppers in a sieve, but the other day when I went to an Italian restaurant I saw a braid of them hanging near the cash register. I turned it around and around to study how it was put together, and as soon as I got home, I tried to recreate it before I forgot how.Press down on the chili peppers with your fingers as you weave them rather tightly. In the photo I used my bare hands, but it may be prudent to put on protective gloves. (Your hands may burn due to the capsaicin.) If you do use your bare hands, be careful not to rub your eyes with them! Recipe by Oguchi cookpad.japan -
