Ingredients

  • For Batter
  • 1 cupGreen gram / cherupayar -
  • 1/4 cupRaw rice pachari (idli rice)/ -
  • 2red chilli Dry -
  • 1Green chilli -
  • 1/2 tspnCumin seeds -
  • pinchHing / kayam - a
  • Salt
  • For filling
  • 1Ginger small - piece chopped
  • 3red chilli Dry - chopped
  • 1Onion small - chopped
  • Coriander / leavescurry leaves
  • 1Tamarind small - ball
  • 1/4 cupcoconut Grated -
  • 10Cashewnuts -
  • Salt

Steps

    Soak green gram in water for 8 hrs.Soak rice for 1 hour before making the dosas.

  2. 2

    Then grind green gram and rice along with all the other ingrediets listed under "for batter" to a smooth batter.

  3. 3

    It should have the same consistency of normal dosa batter.Keep aside.

  4. 4

    Heat a tawa or flat pan.Pour a laddle full of batter and spread it as we do for normal dosa.Drizzle little oil around the dosa.

  5. 5

    Flip over when one side have some light brown shades.Cook for few more seconds.Transfer to a plate.Make dosas with remaining batter also.

  6. 6

    Then to make filling.Add the ingredients to a blender.Just give a single crush.Filling is ready.

  7. 7

    Now spread this filling to the green gram dosa and serve hot.
