I make this once a while and it's never failed me! Heat pan to medium heat. When hot enough, add oil to pan to prevent the toffee from sticking later on.

Pour the condensed milk into the pan and start stirring!

You would have to stir this for quite a while. You know the mixture is ready when it turns dark brown. I like my toffee chewy but if you like it softer, wait till the mixture turns light brown.

Quickly take all the toffee out of the pan and start shaping and rolling it into small pieces. I usually shape it into a cylinder/rectangle but it doesn't really matter. Cool the toffee for about five minutes and it would be ready to eat.
