Ingredients

  • 1/4 cupbutter
  • 1 cup1/4 inch dry bread cubed
  • 1 dashpepper
  • 1 cupwater
  • 2chicken cubes
  • 2 tbspflour
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 2 packagesfrozen asparagus
  • 1/4 cupbutter
  • 2 tsplemon juice
  • 1 tbspsugar

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat 1/4 cup butter in skillet, add bread cubes & cook gently, stirring

  2. 2

    Cook asparagus, drain & keep hot

  3. 3

    Heat 1/4 cup butter in pan, blend in water at once, stir. Return to heat add chicken cubes, lemon juice & sugar. Return to heat, cook & stir till boiling, thick & smooth
