sift flour with baking powder, soda,salt and nutmeg; set aside.

In mixer; best better, sugar and egg until light and fluffy.

beat in sour cream and vanilla until smooth. gradually add flour mixture.

form dough into a ball, wrap in waxed paper or foil. refridgerate several hours or overnight.

divide into 4 parts, refridgerate until ready to roll out.

preheat to 375°F. lightly grease cookie sheets.

on a well floured surface, roll dough 1/4" think, 1 part at a time.

cut out cookies. Bake 10-12 mins until golden.

makes 4 dozen cookies.
