Nutritious Beetroot, Potato, Carrot, and Lotus Seed Soup

Rinse the lotus seeds thoroughly.

Peel and wash the vegetables. Cut the beets into 6 pieces, slice the carrots diagonally, and cut the potatoes into quarters to prevent them from becoming mushy.

Step 1: Boil a pot of water, blanch the meat, and discard the water. Boil another pot of water, and once it boils, add the beets first as they take longer to soften.

Cook the beets for 15 minutes until the water turns a beautiful red color. Season with seasoning powder and MSG, then add the carrots and lotus seeds.

Cook the carrots and lotus seeds for 5-10 minutes, then add the potatoes and cook for another 5 minutes. Season with salt and a bit of sugar to enhance the flavor. Turn off the heat and add chopped green onions and cilantro.
