Ingredients

  1. 1 headgreen cabbage, sliced into strips
  2. 1onion, diced
  3. 3-4 tbspbacon,cooked & remove bacon
  4. 1onion, sliced into strips
  5. to tasteGarlic salt and pepper

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Heat up the bacon grease in a large skillet. Add cabbage and onion. Cook until cabbage & onion is brown. You want it browned, but not burned. Crumble the bacon into skillet. Season to taste.

    Sometimes I add chopped jalapeños or cooked low fat ground beef

Excellent dish! but I skip the garlic and keep the bacon in the dish. Also when I first made it it was right after Christmas so I still had a fresh spiral,or already sliced ham that was delicious so I used that in place of the bacon and it also worked out really well for those of you that want to try it probably after Christmas or Easter from the left-overs of the ham. Just wanted to tell you my experience with it.
