1 3/4 cupShortening
2 cupSugar
4Eggs
1/2 cupMilk
1/2 tspSalt
4 cupOatmeal
4 cupAll Purpose Flour
2 tspBaking Soda
2 tspGround Cinnamon
1 cupChopped Nuts (I use pecans)
2 cupBlueberries

Steps

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Cream together shortening and sugar until soft fluffy. Beat in eggs.

Gradually mix in remaining ingredients (can be done with electric mixer) except for nuts and blueberries.

Fold in nuts and blueberries.

Drop by heaping teaspoons on parchment lined cookie sheets.

Bake 10-12 minutes or until cookies are lightly browned.

Cool on racks.

Store in airtight container.

Makes about 5 dozen
