German style grilled steak
Steps
- 1
Tenderize the steak
- 2
Add individual steak(s) into a ziplock bag with all ingredients
- 3
Let marinate overnight in the refrigerator
- 4
Create a fire in a charcoal grill with a low heat content or turn your propane grill on a low setting
- 5
Wrap the grate in aluminum foil poke small holes with a fork along the foil to let smoke penetrate steak and excess drainage drip while protecting the steak from being seared by flame
- 6
Cover in a charcoal grill close vents to barely open to keep smoke trapped turn every 10 minutes let cook 45 minutes to a hour until steak develops a nice golden brown crust then remove and serve with a german dark mustard for dipping due to the various strengths of german mustard i dont recommend applying directly to steak
