
Martha's lollipops (1980's recipe)

Stir and bring to a boil in heavy saucepan. Turn heat to simmer and cover for 5 minutes. Uncover and cook until thermometer reads 300°. Do NOT stir after you uncover. Add food coloring and a few drops of flavor oil. Pour into molds. Add lollipop sticks.

This is my own element to this. For different flavors, add some type of extract like vanilla, cinnamon, or peppermint, when you add the food coloring and oil. (just a few drops)

Another element of mine. Molds are exspensive, but take tin cookie cutters and cut an indention into them big enough for a lollipop stick. the stick should enter about halfway through the mold for support purposes. Lightly grease the inside of the cookie cutter before use.
