Ingredients

12 servings
  • 2 cupAll-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cupsugar
  • 3 tspbaking powder
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 3/4 cupmilk
  • 1/3 cupvegetable oil
  • 1egg
  • 3/4 cupsemi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 tbspsugar
  • 2 tbspbrown sugar

Steps

    Heat oven to 400°F. Grease bottoms only of 12 muffin cups or line with baking cups

  2. 2

    In a medium bowl, combine flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, chocolate chips, and salt; mix well

  3. 3

    In a small bowl, combine milk, oil, and eggs; blend well.

  4. 4

    Add dry ingredients all at one; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened (batter will be lumpy)

  5. 5

    Fill cups 2/3 full. Sprinkle tops of muffins before baking with a combination of 3 tablespoons sugar and 2 tablaspoons brown sugar.

  6. 6

    Bake for 20-25 minutes or until tooth pick inserted in center comes out clean.

  7. 7

    Cool 1 minute before removing from pan. Serve while warm

When I was done mixing it looked like cookie dough. However they are good different texture as the top part is crunchy because if the sugar on top.
