  • 2/3 cupshortening
  • 2/3 cupbutter
  • 1 cupsugar
  • 1 cupbrown sugar
  • 2eggs
  • 2 tspvanilla
  • 3 cupself-rising flour
  • 1 cupchopped nuts
  • 12 ozsemisweet chocolate chips

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oven to 375°.

  2. 2

    Mix thoroughly shortening, butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients.

  3. 3

    Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown.
