Ingredients

  • Frosting
  • 8 ozbutter
  • 8 ozstortening
  • 1 lbpowdered sugar
  • 1 tspground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tspall spice
  • 1/4 tspground cloves
  • 1/4 cupdark or spiced rum

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix shortening and butter until thoroughly mixed.

  2. 2

    On low speed add powdered sugar, a little at a time. Add cinnamon, allspice, & cloves and mix.

  3. 3

    Add rum and mix to combine. Once blended mix on med-high speed until thoroughly mixed. Frosting will be fluffy. YIELD: 2 quarts
