Mix lemon zest, juice, garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper in a large ziplock bag.

Use a fork to poke some holes in each chicken breast, and add the chicken breasts to the lemon juice mixture in the ziplock bag.

Remove all air from the ziplock by and seal it. Place the bag in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 400?F.

Remove the chicken from he ziplock bag and place it in a baking dish. Slice the lemon and place the slices on the chicken. Do not dispose of the leftover marinade.

Bake the chicken in the oven for 20 minutes.

Pour the leftover marinade onto the chicken, and bake it for another 30 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked.

Remove the baking dish from the oven, nod cover it with foil for 10 minutes.
