Ingredients

  • 100 gm dal cleaned and soaked in water for 2 hours
  • 1 cupchopped carrot+ green peas + coriander leaves+1 tsp chopped garlic +1 small tomato chopped
  • 1 tbspchopped onion
  • 2green chilies chopped
  • 1/3each of Ajwain seeds and cumin seeds
  • pinch of sugar
  • Salt to taste

Steps

  1. 1

    Grind the ingredients 1 and 2 with water to coarse (dardara) paste.

    Add the rest of the ingredients to the paste and give rest for 30 minutes.

    Make Vada and deep fry in hot cooking oil in low medium flame on both the sides.

    Serve hot with tomato sauce and/or green Chutney.
