In saucepan bring 8 cups of broth to boil, immediately reduce to simmer

In separate saucepan, heat 1 tbs broth and cook scallions. Add brown rice and cook over medium for 2 mins stirring constantly

Add lemon juice to rice and stir until adsorbed

Add 2 cups of broth to rice stirring constantly until liquid is absorbed. Keep doing this until all broth has been added

Meanwhile, Steam asparagus when rice is almost ready

When liquid is absorbed in the rice remove from heat

Add asparagus, nutritional yeast, salt, and pepper
