preheat over 450°

stir corn meal, flour salt and baking powder

in another bowl mix butter milk whole milk eggs baking soda and melted shortening together with fork

pour wet mixture into dry mixture softly

pour melted shortening and stir in

turn skillet on high and put about a tablespoon of shortening on skillet until melted

pour cornbread mixture on skillet and spread it around to get a good crust
- 8
put skillet in 450°F oven for 20-25 minutes until golden
