Steps

Wash the fish and drain out the water.

Take a bowl pour the fish and marinate the fish with turmeric and salt.

Heat cup of oil in a pan and fry the fish pieces just slightly.

Set aside the fish pieces.

On a separate bowl, mix in the ginger garlic paste,red chilli powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder with just few drops of water to make a spicy paste. Set aside the paste.

Add the rest of the the oil in the same pan.

Fry the onion until they turn brown. Add the spicy paste to the onion and add salt to taste.

Add 1cup of water cook with lid on until the fragrant of the spices goes away and the water dries up a bit.

Add the fish.

Pour in 1&1/2 cup of water and cover with the lid and cook for 8 minutes.

Garnish with coriander leaves and green chilli.
