preheat oven to 350 line a 9 inch square pan. with foil allowing 2 inches to extend over rim

spray the foil with nonstick spray

combine the chocolate and butter in Med. bowl

microwave on high for 1 min. stirring every 15 seconds until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth

combine the flour, cocoa powder and salt in a small bowl

set both mixtures aside

with an electric mixer on high beat the eggs, sugar and vanilla in large bowl until thick 3 to 4 minutes

add the chocolate mixture and the apple butter beating until blended

add the flour mixture beating just until blended

scrape the batter into the baking pan and spread evenly

bake until toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs clinging to it about 18 to 20 min.

cool completely in the pan on rack
