Preheat oven to 350. Put bread into a loaf pan and drizzle butter over it.

Beat eggs, then mix in milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.

Pour the mixture over bread and press down so that all bread is soaked.

Bake the pudding at 350 for 45 mins.

In a small pot mix all the sauce ingredients and bring to a low boil using medium heat.

Turn the heat down to low and simmer for 5 mins, stirring constantly.

Allow sauce to cool to room temperature.

Slice the bread pudding and top with sauce. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
