Cucumber Thalipeeth

Never ever imagined that a boring and salad king cucumber can be used in this way too. I was always curious to make Thalipeeth which is one of Maharashtrian traditional food and luckily I came across this unusual recipe.

Never ever imagined that a boring and salad king cucumber can be used in this way too. I was always curious to make Thalipeeth which is one of Maharashtrian traditional food and luckily I came across this unusual recipe.
Steps
- 1
In a mixing bowl, take all the ingredients except oil.
- 2
Now knead it to a soft dough without adding water. It will be a slightly sticky dough.
- 3
Usually cucumber contains lots of water and so you do not require any water for kneading. But if needed just sprinkle little water.
- 4
Now divide the dough to big portions.
- 5
Take a foil or plastic on the platform and apply some oil on it.
- 6
Take one round portion of the dough and start spreading it with your fingers on the greased foil.
- 7
Make a hole at the centre for even cooking.
- 8
Grease a pan with oil and carefully remove the thalipeeth from the foil to your hand and put it on the pan.
- 9
Toast it till crisp and pour some oil over it. Now flip and roast on other side till crisp.
- 10
Tastes best when served hot with ketchup or garlic tomato chutney.
