Special Milky Buttercream, Not Overly Sweet 👍

Good evening, mommies! This time I'm sharing my favorite buttercream recipe. When you eat this, it doesn't feel like you're eating buttercream because the taste and texture are similar to whipped cream or ice cream—milky, soft, and quite sturdy. I've been loyal to this recipe for 3 years now! 😍😍😍😍 It pairs elegantly with anything, moms. Finally, I have the chance to share it again due to many requests from mommies in DMs, comments, and during our Meet and Greet. ❤ For the whipped cream powder, I usually use the Haans brand, which is widely available in the premix flour and cake flavoring section of supermarkets. Hollman softcream is also a key to the softness and milkiness of this buttercream. It's not Hollman butter, don't get confused, moms. Everyone has their own preferences, but for me, this recipe is still the best. I found it 3.5 years ago while browsing Dapur mama Itara. Let's go!

Mix the white shortening at medium speed until slightly soft, about 10 minutes. Add Hollman softcream and mix until combined. Gradually add the whipped cream mixture until smooth, then add the sweetened condensed milk. Continue mixing until SMOOTH and not grainy on the tongue. Taste to ensure it's smooth. Add vanilla or essence and mix again until combined. Reduce speed to the lowest setting for 5 minutes, then turn off the mixer. Stir the finished buttercream with a spoon.

Note: If you don't have Hollman softcream, you can skip it. Keep the other ingredients the same, just add a little more simple syrup or sweetened condensed milk if it tastes less sweet. The buttercream color is slightly yellow due to the sweetened condensed milk. If you want to reduce it, mix with simple syrup. You can replace the essence with another flavor, like rum, if you prefer.
