Ingredients

  • Sangri ke kadhi
  • 1 cupShangri(Sanger)
  • 4 tbspmustard oil
  • 1tejpatta
  • 5-6sabut dry red chilli
  • 1 tspgrounded mustard
  • 1/2 cupcurd
  • 1 pinchhing
  • 5-6Dry amchur
  • Water for soaking the sangri
  • 1/2 tspjeera
  • For the masala paste
  • 1 cupwater
  • 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  • 1/2 tspturmeric
  • 1/2 tspgaram masala
  • 1/2 tspcoriander(dhaniya) powder

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak the Sanger in water for the whole night.

  2. 2

    Add pinch of turmeric in it.

  3. 3

    Put the Sanger in a pressure cooker and wait for 1or 2 whistle.

  4. 4

    Strain the Sanger through a sieve and keep the water aside.

  5. 5

    Heat mustard oil in a pan or kadhaai and mustard seed when the seeds crackle,Add jeera,tejpatta,hing and sabut red chilli in it.

  6. 6

    Add the masala paste,curd,Sangerand soaked amchur. You can add the strained Sanger water if you want.

  7. 7

    Cook for about 10-15 minutes.

  8. 8

    Sanger kadhi is ready to be served.
