Ingredients

15 mins
  • 2 tbspvegan butter, I used Organic Earth Balance
  • 2 tbsporganic flour
  • 2 cupPlain almond milk
  • 1/4 tspeach, rosemary, thyme & marjoram
  • 3 tbspnutritional yeast
  • 1salt and pepper to taste

Steps

    Melt butter in small saucepan over medium heat.

  2. 2

    Add flour to butter and stir for about 3 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add almond milk slowly while whisking constantly.

  4. 4

    Add spices, salt and pepper. Taste and adjust seasonings to your liking.

  5. 5

    Stir in nutritional yeast. Sauce should be thickening up nicely.

  6. 6

    I made this specifically for the potato stackers. I added a little of this sauce between each layer of potatoes. It was fantastic!

  7. 7

    I'm thinking this will be good in any casserole that calls for cheese sauce. I think I'll try it next on a broccoli and rice casserole!
