Ingredients

  • 2 lbGround beef or turkey
  • 1 1/2 cupOnion, chopped
  • 15 ozcan tomatoe sauce
  • 16 ozcan kidney beans, drained
  • 2 tspChili powder
  • 1 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1/2 tsppepper
  • 12taco shells
  • 2 cupcheddar cheese, shredded

Steps

  1. 1

    Cook ground beef and until brown and onions tender.

  2. 2

    Stir in tomatoe sauce, kidney beans, chili powder, salt, and pepper.

  3. 3

    Break each taco shell in half at fold.

  4. 4

    Arrange taco shells on bottom and upsides of well-greased baking dish.

  5. 5

    Spoon mixture evenly over tacos.

  6. 6

    Sprinkle with cheese.

  7. 7

    Bake at 350º for 20 minutes or until hot.

  8. 8

    Top with sour cream, chopped tomatoes, and shredded lettuce.
