An easy-to-do green peas stew, with carrots and small beef cubes, all cooked in tomato sauce. It is served with vermicelli rice. Kids love its simple taste.

Ingredients

  1. 2 cansmixed peas and carrots, 450 grams/can
  2. 300 ground beef, cut into small cubes
  3. 1medium onion, finely chopped
  4. 2 clovesgarlic, crushed
  5. 2 tablespoonstomato paste, dissolved in 1 cup water
  6. 2 tablespoonvegetable oil
  7. 1 1/2 teaspoonssalt
  8. 1/2 teaspoonblack pepper

Cooking Instructions

    In a cooking pot, heat the vegetable oil and fry the onions on high heat until golden and soft.

    Add the garlic and meat cubes. Stir on medium heat until the meat is cooked.

    Add the peas and carrots to the pot after draining them from the water in the can. Add salt, black pepper and the tomato paste then add enough water to cover the pot ingredients.

    Cover the pot and let it simmer for 20 min on low heat.

    Serve with vermicelli rice.
