
Baked Jalapeno Poppers (with venison sausage)

Brown Venison sausage drain and set aside

Cut all jalapenos in half scrape out seeds, set aside.

After venison sausage (or any sausage) is cool, mix softened cream cheese, grated parmesan and garlic powder all together with meat.

At this time you can probably turn the oven on at 350.

Using a smaller spoon or your hands, depending on size of jalapenos, use about a tablespoon or more to stuff jalapeno halves.

Once stuffed, put in 350°F oven for 20 minutes and check. You want the jalapenos to remain a little firm. Once cheese and sausage mixture melts a bit, remove and enjoy!

* For an addition, I sometimes put a strip of bacon on top of the stuffing before baking. Partially cooked bacon works best as it finishes while the penos bake.
