Ingredients

2 servings
  • 2large lengthwise cut pieces of Bhetki or Barramundi,desclaled and cleaned
  • 1 tablespooncrushed black pepper
  • 1 tablespoonwhite sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tablespoonwhite mustard seeds
  • 1juice of large gondhoraj/sweet smelling lemon
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1/2 tablespoonmustard paste
  • 1 tablespoonmustard oil
  • as neededWater
  • 2paste of green chillies

Steps

    Place all the dry ingredients ingredients in a large bowl/plate

  2. 2

    Mix all the ingredients well with the help of a spoon

  3. 3

    Place the fish pieces into the bowl and make sure every side of the fishes are well coated with the marinade

  4. 4

    Keep the fish covered marinated for 15 minutes

  5. 5

    Prepare a steamer by boiling 1/2 cup of water

  6. 6

    Place the fishes in the steamer and steam for 10-12 minutes or until tender/done

  7. 7

    Serve at room temperature with fresh steamed rice
