Easy Eid Cookies (Ka'ak El Eid)

Place the butter in a bowl and beat with an electric mixer until very soft.

Gradually add the milk while continuing to beat until the butter and milk are fully combined.

Sift the flour into a separate bowl, then add the remaining ingredients.

Add 3/4 of the flour mixture to the butter and milk, and knead. Then add the rest of the flour mixture and continue kneading.

Let the dough rest for about 10 minutes. Fill or shape the cookies as desired, then arrange them on a baking sheet greased with oil or butter.

Place the baking sheet in a preheated oven at medium heat and bake for 10–15 minutes, watching carefully.

Let the cookies cool, then dust with powdered sugar.
