Ingredients

5 servings
  1. 1 poundshredded beef
  2. 2yellow onions
  3. 5 tbspseasoned soy sauce triple strength (*)
  4. 4 tbspsake (*)
  5. 2 tbspmirin (*)
  6. 2 tspsugar (*)
  7. 200 ccwater (*)
  8. 1 tspgtated ginger
  9. Pickled ginger as desired
  10. 2-3 cupscooked rice

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cut onions into wedges. Add all the ingredients (*) into a medium pot and bring to boiling. Once boiled, add onions. Cook 3-4 minutes on medium heat until throughly cooked.

    Add shredded beef and cook until throughly cooked. Remove scum.

  3. 3

    Pour cooked beef and onion over cooked rice. Add pickled ginger if desired.

    Tip - seasoned soy sauce triple strength available at Japanese supermarkets.
