Cooking Instructions

30 mins
  1. 1

In a large bowl mix together the soy sauce, ginger, garlic, onion powder, black pepper, and water.

  2. 2

Butterfly the thighs so that they maintain an even thickness

  3. 3

Add the chicken thighs to the marinade cover with plastic wrap, and chill in the refrigerator for 4 to 5 hours.
(Before putting the chicken in you can pull out a 1/4  cup  of the marinade and keep it in reserve to put on your rice or cooked chicken)

Pre-heat your griddle pan or oven to 350 F. If using the BBQ grill use medium heat.

  5. 5

Cook the chicken for 10 to 15 minutes on the griddle or BBQ, 20 to 25 on a baking sheet in the oven, or until the chicken is done.

  6. 6

Serve with sticky rice (see my recipe) over a bed of shredded cabbage, and enjoy!
