Ingredients

  • 400 gmschicken
  • 1/2 cupcubed pineapple
  • 1onion cubed
  • 1green bell pepper cubed
  • 1red bell pepper cubed (optional)
  • 2 tbsppineapple juice
  • 1/2 cupchicken stock
  • 2 tbspcornflour
  • 1 tbspmaida
  • 1 tspkashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1 pinchMSG
  • 1 pinchorange red food colour
  • 1 tbspvinegar
  • 1 tbspsoya sauce
  • 1 tbspginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbspchopped garlic
  • To tastesalt
  • 1 tspblack pepper
  • 1 tbspchopped spring onion
  • 1green chilli chopped
  • 3 tbsprefined oil

Steps

  1. 1

    Marinate chicken with 1 tbsp vinegar and little salt for at least 1 hour.Make a batter of cornflour, maida,little water, soya sauce and pinch of food colour.

    Dip chicken pieces in the batter and fry in oil.Set aside.In the remaining oil sprinkle chopped garlic and fry till light brown.

    Add the cubed onion and toss.Then add the bell peppers, pineapple, ginger garlic paste,kashmiri red chilli powder,black pepper and the fried chicken.Toss and add little soya sauce,chicken stock and pineapple juice.Boil till done.The vegetables should not lose their crispness. Add the remaining cornflour batter till the gravy becomes thick and coats chicken.Sprinkle some msg, chopped spring onion and 1 chopped green chilli.Serve with burnt garlic fried rice or mixed chowmein.
