Ingredients

  1. 1 cupKala Chana (overnight soaked)
  2. 1 teaspoonGinger-Garlic paste
  3. 2-3Onion (medium size, sliced)
  4. 1Green chilli (slit)
  5. 2Bay leaves
  6. 2 tablespoonCurd
  7. 1/2 teaspoonGaram masala powder
  8. 1 teaspoonCoriander powder
  9. To tasteSalt
  10. 1/2 teaspoonCumin powder
  11. 1/4 teaspoonCrushed pepper
  12. 1 teaspoonRed chilli powder
  13. 1/2 teaspoonCumin seeds
  14. Oil

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil in, pressure cooker, add cumin seeds and bay leaves in it and allow it to crackle.

  2. 2

    Now add ginger-garlic paste saute it well then add onion and saute it until it becomes light brown in colour.

  3. 3

    In a bowl, combine kala chana and all spices and mix it well, put it into the same pressure cooker add little water and cook it for 2-3 whistles.

  4. 4

    Again put same pressure cooker on the flame, add curd and cook it well.

  5. 5

    Then add little lukewarm water or as per your requirement and cook it for a whistle and switch off the flame.

  6. 6

    Your ghooghni is ready to serve now.

    You can serve it with boiled rice, chapati, paratha or poori.
