Lapsi Pulao

Everyone's favourite breakfast at my in-laws place. I ate this first time after I got married and I immediately fell in love with this. It is packed with sufficient nutrition to keep me charged throughout the day. Tastes yum with a tangy dhania-pudina chutney.

Everyone's favourite breakfast at my in-laws place. I ate this first time after I got married and I immediately fell in love with this. It is packed with sufficient nutrition to keep me charged throughout the day. Tastes yum with a tangy dhania-pudina chutney.

Dry Roast the Lapsi at medium flame for 10 mins

Boil chopped vegetables (carrot and french beans) in pressure cooker.

In a dry pressure cooker, add 1 spoon vegetable oil. Saute onion, then add boiled carrot, beans, peas and raisin to it.

After tossing the ingredient for 2 mins, add dry roasted Lapsi to it. Pour one bowl of water. (Use same bowl that was used to measure Lapsi)

Add salt & pepper as per your taste. Mix all of them well and close the lid of the cooker.

Keep it for 3 mins on medium flame. After 2 whistles, turn off the heat and allow the cooker to release steam.

After the steam is released, take the lid off, and serve the Lapsi Pulao. It goes well with Dhania-Pudina Chutney or plain curd.
