Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 100 gramspre-made and chilled puff pastry (refer to Liz Ngugi's recipe for puff pastry)
  2. 1green apple (cut into thin slices)
  3. 1 tspground cinnamon
  4. 1egg (glaze)
  5. 1 tbspmilk (glaze)

Steps

  1. 1

    Mold the puff pastry into a pastry casing using either a prepared pie/tart pan or small casserole dish, then using a fork make some holes on the pastry casing and arrange the slices of apple on the pastry.

    Sprinkle ground cinnamon on the pastry casing.

    Whisk the egg and milk for 2 - 3 minutes. Then using a pastry brush glaze the pastry casing with the egg wash.

  4. 4

    Bake the pastry casing in an oven heated to 180 degrees for about 30 minutes.
