Salted Caramel Apples

Juicy, crisp apples, covered with rich chewy caramel, ]. Updated with a light sprinkle of sea salt!

Ingredients

  1. 14 ouncesWertgers soft caramels
  2. 2 tablespoonscream
  3. sticksWooden pops I keep
  4. Fine sea salt for sprinkling
  5. Woofen

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Wash off any wax if on apples, dry well and refrigerate until cold

  2. 2

    Melt caramels and cream in the microwave until smooth

  3. 3

    Remive stem from each apple and insert the popsicle stick

  4. 4

    Holding stuck dio each apple in caramel to coat. Use a knife to remive excess from the bottom letting it drip back into bowl

  5. 5

    Place on non stick foil, sprinkle lightly with salt, refrigerate until set.

“Fenway” passed away on 2/3/2021. For the last year she tried to teach her husband of 42 years how to cook like her. Although I will never be as good of a cook as her she did pass on her passion for cooking. Therefore, I will attempt to carry on her legacy and maintain/update her site. My wife was a Registered Nurse, a licensed deep water aerobics instructor, a mother to our 2 children and a fantastic cook. We grew up in New England but have been fortunate to live all over the US. I am now retired, missing her terribly, but thankful for all the years we had together and all her cooking lessons.
