Ingredients

1 cup
  1. 2 cupsall purpose flour
  2. 2 teaspoonsgranulated sugar
  3. 1 tablespoonClabber Girl baking powder
  4. 1/4 teaspoonbaking soda
  5. 1 teaspoonfine salt
  6. 6 tablespoonsunsalted butter, very cold
  7. 1cup+ buttermilk

Cooking Instructions

1 cup
  1. 1

Preheat oven to 450. I use my food processor so I can pulse mix faster. Add flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt and pulse a few times.

  2. 2

I always put butter in freezer about 5 min before using. Cube the butter, add it to flour mixture. Pulse a few times until flour is crumbly. To me it's hard to see it so I just pulse a few times while shaking the food processor.

  3. 3

Empty flour into a large bowl. Add buttermilk and stir until dough forms. I always need extra buttermilk because the mixture amounts isn't wet enough to absorb all the flour. I use reg milk for extra if I'm out of buttermilk.

  4. 4

Form ball and empty onto flour surface. I DO NOT use a roll pin. I spread the dough by hand so I don't over work the dough. Cut into biscuits with a biscuit cutter if you have one. I use a glass because I've never seen a cutter in the store lol I usually make a double batch so the biscuits come out thicker but they are always soft inside.

  5. 5

NOTE: This picture is a double mixture I just made 15 minutes ago. They are very good in my opinion. The recipe was found on the internet but I cannot remember where, so credit goes to whomever came up with it. I just posted this because it is the best recipe I've tried so far. I'm trying to make McDonald's looking ones because I love them but so far I've not succeeded.
