
Country cinnamon apple dumplings

Peel and core apples. Cut each apple into 8 slices. Roll each slice up in a crescent roll triangle to make dumplings.

Place dumplings in a greased dish. Melt butter on med low heat then add sugar and barely stir. Add vanilla, stir until incorporated, and evenly pour entire mixture over apple dumplings.

Pour mountain dew around the edges of the pan.

Sprinkle evenly with cinnamon and bake at 350 for 40 minutes.

Scoop some of sweet sauce from the pan over top of dumplings before serving. Serve them warm and with ice cream if desired
