Mokimo is a Kikuyu delicacy. Eaten in every traditional ceremonies like weddings, ruracio etc.
Steps

Separately boil the green peas until well cooked and can easily mash. Drain excess water(you use this water to cook the potatoes).

Peel and wash the potatoes and put in a pressure cooker. Add the pumpkin leaves, thinly shredded. Add the water drained above and top up with plain water if needed. Add some salt and cook(most potatoes I use are ready with the third whistling of the pressure cooker so check at this point to avoid overcooking). When cooked drain excess water.

Mix the peas to the already cooked potatoes and mash until all the potatoes are completely mashed and mixed well with the peas. Check salt and add accordingly.

Serve with meat stew and vegetables.
