Ingredients

12 servings
  • Mint pakora:::
  • ½ bunchMint Leaves -
  • 1 cup Chana dal - - soaked and drained
  • 4Green chillies -
  • 1 inchGinger -
  • 1/2 limeLime - juice of
  • 1/2 tspTurmeric powder
  • 2 tbspFennel Seeds -
  • 3 tbspRice Flour -
  • to tasteSalt -
  • 1 tspChilli powder - (optional)
  • ½ tspChaat masala - (optional)

Steps

25 minutes
  1. 1

    Soak chanadal for at least 4-5 hrs or overnight. Then Drain and keep aside.

  2. 2

    Grind the chanadal coarsely without adding any water.

  3. 3

    Make a paste of the Ginger & green chillies and mix it to the ground chanadal.

  4. 4

    Add rice flour, turmeric powder, fennel seeds, chopped mint leaves, red chilli powder and salt. Mix well.

  5. 5

    Make round tiny balls of the above mixture. Keep it ready and set aside.

  6. 6

    Heat the Appe pan, brush each mould with oil and Put the prepared balls/ kebabs in it.

  7. 7

    Cook on medium flame till they are golden brown in colour.

  8. 8

    Serve hot with some tomato ketchup / green chutney and a hot cup of masala chai.
