Steps
- 1
Firstly freeze orange cups in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
In a deep, nonstick pan, add milk and start boiling till it reduces to thick creamy consistency. Shouldn’t be too watery nor too scooping tight. - 2
At this stage, pour condensed milk. Check sweetness and add sugar accordingly.
Once the sugar dissolves, switch off the flame.
Allow the milk mixture to cool to room temperature. - 3
In a bowl, transfer the cooled milk mixture.
Add finely chopped orange segments.
Add thinly julienned orange zests. - 4
Add 2 tablespoons orange juice.
Mix this mixture well.
Refrigerate the orange malai for an hour to thicken.
Don’t freeze.
After an hour, just before serving, take the frozen orange cups. - 5
Fill orange malai into the frozen orange cups.
Garnish with orange zest and serve chill. - 6
My Tip:
Reducing the milk to creamy consistency gives best results.
