Ingredients

  1. 1 tablespoonrice flour (about 8 grams)
  2. 1 tablespoonall-purpose flour (about 8 grams)
  3. 1 tablespoonsemolina (about 10 grams)
  4. 2 tablespoonsgrated coconut (about 16 grams)
  5. 2 teaspoonsroasted sesame seeds (about 6 grams)
  6. 2 teaspoonsfennel seeds (about 4 grams)
  7. 2 teaspoonschopped almonds (about 6 grams)
  8. 2 teaspoonschopped cashews (about 6 grams)
  9. 2 teaspoonsghee (about 10 grams)
  10. 1 cupjaggery syrup (about 240 ml)
  11. Ghee, as needed, for frying

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix all the dry ingredients together. Add 2 teaspoons of ghee and mix well.

  2. 2

    Add the jaggery syrup and knead into a stiff dough. Take a portion of the dough and roll it out into a thick disc. Use a cookie cutter to cut into your desired shapes.

  3. 3

    Heat ghee in a pan. Fry the shaped khajur pieces in the ghee until golden brown.

  4. 4

    Nepali khajur is ready, made in my style.
