Ingredients

4 servings
  • For Tofu Marination
  • 250 gmTofu
  • 2 tspcurd
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1/4 tspred chilli powder
  • 1/4 tspkashmiri mirch powder
  • 1/4 tspturmeric power
  • 1/4 tsppav bhaji masala
  • For Tofu Masala
  • 4 tspdried Onion (I used onion mantra -kitchen mantra brand)
  • 10-12 piecedried garlic (used garlic mantra- kitchen mantra brand)
  • 1 tspoil
  • 1 tspcumin seeds
  • 1bay leaves
  • 1 inchcinnamon
  • 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  • 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  • 1 tspsalt (as per taste)
  • 1/2 tspgaram masala
  • 1/2 tspKashmiri Mirch
  • 1/2 tsppav bhaji masala

Steps

  1. 1

    Marinate the tofu:-take a bowl, add tofu, curd, and all dry masala, and mix well and rest for 15-20 mins.

  2. 2

    For Masala :-Soak onion mantra and garlic mantra in water for 10-15 mins.

  3. 3

    Heat oil in a pan

  4. 4

    Add cumin seeds, bay leaves, and cinnamon powder and saute for 1-2 mins.

  5. 5

    Onion Mantra doesn't take too much time to cook

  6. 6

    It takes 4-5 mins to cook.

  7. 7

    Add Garlic mantra pieces and cook.

  8. 8

    Add all masala and cook for 1 min

  9. 9

    Add little water and cook for 3-4 mins

  10. 10

    Cook until oil starts to separate, it takes around 5-7 mins.

  11. 11

    When masala gets ready, add marinated tofu in masala and cook for 5 mins.

  12. 12

    Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with parantha and Roti.
